What may appear as mere plastic wrapping to the unwary eye is actually a very complex material produced according to exacting standards which must adhere to very specific packaging requirements.
Some commodities must be wrapped in a way that makes them resistant to heat; others must be resistant to cold; others still must be impermeable to oil. Some products must not be exposed to air while others need oxygen. Another group are adversely affected by ultraviolet light. DAISAN's state-of-the-art lamination and molding technology allows for the conversion of wrapping material to meet the most demanding and diverse requirements in the soft-wrapping industry. The result is the guaranteed safe preservation of the packaged article.
In order to ensure complete functional integrity, all DAISAN lamination products are aged in a fully climate-controlled room and subjected to a very rigorous quality control protocol to verify lamination thickness, bonding strength and boil strength. Our molding capability, among the most advanced in the industry, adds further functionality to the wrapping.
The unique gravure printing process, DAISAN's third area of expertise in soft packaging, is the step which adds visual appeal to the finished product. Currently, a total of seven printing machines comprise DAISAN's Printing Division. Among these are the leading edge 8-color distributed rotary gravure printers (1250 mm / 49-inch web width) and 6-color distributed rotary gravure printers (700 mm / 27-inch web width). All our printers are fitted with ink-circulation units and automatic ink-viscosity controllers, a fully automated alignment device, as well as an in-line print-defect detection system with an integrated CCD camera.
From consumer electronics products to perishable food items, DAISAN's unparalleled knowledge in and attention to all aspects of the soft-wrapping business invariably guarantees the best results and ranks it far ahead of the competition.
